Arrival at Port Blair our representative will meet & greet and transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and after some refreshments visit the Cellular Jail – a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people. The jail is designed especially for solitary confinement it earned the Islands the dreaded name of Kala Pani. In the evening witness the enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail – where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive. The Light and Sound Show provides you with a vivid experience of its strong association with the freedom fighters and their struggle for independence. Stay overnight at Port Blair.
After lip-smacking breakfast you will be transferred to Swaraj Dweep previously known as Havelock Island about 54 km northeast of Port Blair, the Island is a hidden gem. Its clear waters are rated among the best in the world for snorkelling and scuba diving, while on diving you can see nudibranchs, sea slugs and snails, varieties of ghost pipe fish, jaw fish and a number of different crustaceans of all shapes and sizes. Later drive to Radhanagar Beach the Asia’s 7th most beautiful beach it’s the jewel in the crown of Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island) Island. The glorious white sand beach shot to global fame when Time magazine (in 2004) rated it as the finest in Asia. With lush tropical forest rising on a hill to one side. It lends itself to a variety of activities. Later check in to the hotel at Havelock island.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Elephant Beach / Light House Beach to explore the Coral reefs underneath in a sharing fibre speed boat. This beach offers snorkelers calm blue shallow waters and is the perfect spot for beginner snorkelers. The beach is very scenic with fallen trees and white sand giving the photographer some beautiful pictures to take back home. One can enjoy the Glass Bottom Ride & Snorkelling / Sea Walk / Scuba Diving at with and additional Cost. The large reef is mostly made up of hard coral and has plenty of marine life. Later in the afternoon and as per ferry timing we will drop you at Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island) Jetty to take the return Ferry to Port Blair. On disembarked from board move towards Sagarika Emporium for shopping followed by the local market of the city. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay at Port Blair.
After Breakfast proceed to Wandoor Beach, 30kms ride from Port Blair city through the Tsunami affected area, once used to be paddy land now fully covered with water resembles like a lake. Visit the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park to witness the vibrant marine life of the Andaman Islands. The man-made park boasts of a number of flora and fauna ranging from saltwater crocodiles to turtles and starfishes and more. One can have a glimpse of migrated wet land birds, now become an attraction for bird’s watchers. Drop at Airport for your return home with memories of a wonderful holiday.
